About
Nicole Jurkovic Peterson, L.Ac.
Nicole Peterson's interest in Chinese medicine began
when she was 15 years old on a trip to China where she visited local
hospitals and small village clinics. Intrigued by what she saw,
she decided to learn more about Chinese medicine and eventually
pursued a career in this ancient practice.

She
received her bachelor's degree in Biology and French from the College
of Charleston in Charleston, South Carolina. She continued on to
earn her Master's degree in Oriental Medicine from the Oregon College
of Oriental Medicine in Portland, Oregon where she studied acupuncture,
Chinese herbal medicine, Tuina massage, and qigong. She was also
certified by Professor Hui-Chen to teach both Soaring Crane and
Essence Qigong.

She then went on to complete an additional year long intensive study
of Taoist wilderness-based Five Element acupuncture in a program
called Awakening to the Soul of our Medicine. To enhance her clinical
skills, she developed a deep relationship with the five elements
in nature as they relate to the organs and emotions in the human
body.

Nicole Peterson, L.Ac. is a licensed acupuncturist and Chinese herbalist

Hill, North Carolina. In addition, she teaches Chinese herbal medicine
