Initial Visit and Number of Treatments

Ling Dao Treatment RoomWhat to Expect during your Initial Treatment
Your first visit will last approximately one and a half hours during which time I will review your health history and current health care concerns. I will then perform a variety of diagnostic techniques which includes feeling your pulse. You will then receive an acupuncture treatment based on your unique diagnosis. Depending on the nature of your illness, I will suggest herbal medicine, dietary therapy and/or lifestyle changes. Follow-up visits generally last one hour. All information is strictly confidential, so I encourage you to be open and honest about your concerns.

Number of Treatments Needed

Initially, one treatment per week for four to six weeks is recommended. The number of treatments needed varies depending on the length and nature of your illness. Chronic and complex illnesses may require more treatment, while acute problems generally respond faster. The more you participate and work toward attaining health through diet, attitude and lifestyle, the quicker you will notice results. Natural healing takes time and works on many levels including body, mind, emotions, and spirit. Removing the deepest cause of your imbalance requires commitment and patience.

Acupuncture is a therapy that adjusts the circulation of energy or Qi (pronounced chee) flowing through channels in the body. Qi is the animating force in our bodies that gives us the ability to move, think, and feel. By restoring balance or harmony to the flow of Qi, the body returns to its healthy state.

Cost of Treatment
The initial visit costs $105 (one and a half hours) and follow-up visits cost $70 (one hour).
